ADVANTAGES OF CEREC CROWNS

Time Saving: In the not so distant past, it was very common for patients to have to wait weeks for dental crowns to be created. This is much different today at the office of James M Blake D.D.S., PC in Hamburg, NY! The same-day dental crowns we offer require only one appointment, making it a much more convenient option for you.
Save On Appointment Costs, Temporary Crowns: As mentioned above, only one appointment is needed for our same-day dental crowns! This means you can spend less Time on appointments and you won't need to have a temporary dental crown put in while waiting for a permanent one to be made in a lab.
Comfortable Option: By using our state-of-the-art equipment, we can produce a same-day dental crown that looks and feels like a real tooth. Not only does this mean that it will be comfortable, but it will also be durable and stand the test of time!
Durability: In the past many crowns consisted of either all metal or Porcelain Fused to Metal, called PFM. Metals used are often times precious metals, which contributes greatly to increased costs. Further, the tendency for porcelain to chip off from the metal can lead to the need for premature replacement of a crown. Dr Blake typically uses high strength Non-layered ceramics like Lithium Disilicate EMAX , which has proven itself far more durable than Traditional Porcelein fused to metal over the nearly 15 years it has been used. Add to that it is far less abrasive to opposing teeth than traditional porcelain!
